2022年2月11日，金山世外小学部的四名小金灵随同世外教育集团各校区的同学们来到了瑞士驻沪总领事馆。副总领事高奕帆先生和领馆工作人员热情接待了这20位学生代表，不仅向他们讲解了瑞士的风土人情，还解答了孩子们关于领馆、外交、语言等趣味问题。疫情之下虽然未出国门，孩子们仍仿佛体验了瑞士那丰饶宁静的风光与文化熏陶。
On February 11th, 2022, FOUR students from Elementary Branch of Jinshan World Foreign Language School (JWFLS) were invited to visit the Swiss Consulate General in Shanghai, along with the students from other WFL campuses. Deputy Consul General, Istvan Kocsis, and the Consulate’s staff gave a warm welcome to the 20 representative students. Our kids not only enjoyed a presentation about the local customs of Switzerland, but also came up with the answers to some interesting questions concerning the Consulate, the diplomacy, the language etc. Under the current circumstances of the global pandemic, although our kids didn’t manage to go abroad, they still seemed to roam around the magnificent and peaceful scenery and immerse themselves in the diverse culture of Switzerland.
活动现场，同学们通过短片和工作人员的宣讲了解了关于瑞士的人文、历史、饮食、科技等知识。原来在手表、巧克力、军刀等诸多我们熟知的，得以冠名“Swiss”的名物之外，瑞士还拥有优美的雪山名川、丰富多彩的历史文化；瑞士人民孜孜不倦的创新精神和对本土产品的匠人工艺都深深感动了听讲的同学。
At the event, the students learned about the humanities, history, food, technology and other knowledges about Switzerland through videos and presentations. Our kids realized that in addition to watches, chocolates, military knives and other well-known products named after "Swiss", Switzerland also boasts scenic snow mountains and rivers, splendid history and culture. The Swiss people's perseverance in innovation and the brilliant craftsmanship engraved upon local products all deeply touched our kids.
在接下来与副总领事的有奖Q&A中，小金灵们纷纷踊跃参与，举手抢答。“好奇宝宝”们天马行空的提问让副总领事高奕帆先生应接不暇。
In the follow-up Q&A time, our kids participated with great enthusiasm and our curious babies’ questions were so boundless and beyond imagination that even surprised the Deputy Consul General.
最后，高奕帆副总领事给大家手中的Happy Lilly木质小牛签字留念，还赠送了瑞士的特色纪念品。每一位同学都收获满满！
At the end, each student was awarded a signature on his or her Happy Lilly by Deputy Consul General and also received a goodie bag with Swiss souvenirs. Such a wonderful day!

上周，我非常有幸去参观了瑞士领事馆。瑞士馆工作人员跟副领事高奕凡先生带着我们参观了领事馆，给我们讲了很多瑞士的风土人情跟历史文化，让我很是向往。这次瑞士领事馆之行，让我们进一步了解了瑞士，拓宽了我们的国际视野。我想，“中国心，世界眼”这不正是我们新时代好少年需要的吗？这是一次很有意义的活动，希望下次还有机会参加这样的活动。
Last week, I was really honored to be invited to visit the Swiss Consulate General in Shanghai. Deputy Consul General and the Consulate’s staff showed us around the Consulate and presented us a lot about the customs, history and culture of Switzerland, which made me really look forward to it. The trip to Swiss Consulate General helped us learn more about Switzerland and broaden our international perspectives. In my opinion, "Rooted in China, Eyes on the World" is exactly what a merit student in our new era needs, isn’t it? This is a truly meaningful event. I hope to have another opportunity to participate in such an event.

这一次的瑞士领事馆参观活动真正让我看到不一样的风景和文化，作为新时代的小学生，我们不仅要感受中国文化的厚重魅力，也要触摸世界文明的精彩。正如冬奥会习主席致辞所讲：我们应该促进不同文明交流互鉴，共同建设和谐合作的国际大家庭。
This visit to the Swiss Consulate General truly gave me a whole different perspective on the landscape and culture. As a primary school student in the new era, we shall not only perceive the richness and boom of Chinese culture, but also keep in touch with the splendor of world civilization. Just as what President Xi Jinping addressed at the Winter Olympics: We shall promote exchanges and mutual understandings between different civilizations and establish together an international family with harmony and cooperation.

2月11日的瑞士领事馆之行，让我去了一趟美丽的世界公园--瑞士，那里湖光山色，环境优美；那里有最壮丽的峰峦与冰川，有最清净优雅的鹅卵石小道；松脆金黄的土豆饼，甜而不腻的奶酪让我听听就啧啧流口水……我了解到瑞士人民对冰雪运动的热爱更是深深渗入了血液，他们在北京冬奥会也取得了骄人的成绩。这次旅行让我对这个像童话世界的国家的充满好奇和向往！
The trip to the Swiss Consulate General on February 11th took me to a beautiful world park--Switzerland, paradise of the most splendid mountains and glaciers, home of the most peaceful and elegant cobblestone paths. The crunchy golden Rösti and the cheese with agreeable sweetness made my mouth water... I learned that the Swiss people's passion for the winter sports has penetrated deeply into their heart and soul and they have also achieved impressive results in Olympics Winter Games Beijing 2022. This trip fills me with curiosity and dream about this fairy-tale country!

This precious opportunity to visit the Swiss Consulate General presented me with a magical country --- Switzerland, endowed with beautiful natural scenery, powerful scientific research and innovation, and extraordinary craftsman spirit. This visit broadened my mind and buried in my heart the seeds of being an outstanding ambassador to promote the friendly exchanges between China and other foreign countries. On the platform established by the WFL, the Elementary Branch of Jinshan World Foreign Language School (JWFLS) persists in dedicating everything we have to provide opportunities for our students to broaden their international horizons, to build up the bridge in the heart of our kids to communicate with the world, to help the kids step out from learning for the sake of learning so that they can be inspired by learning and apply what they have learned to the real world. Through daily learning tasks and independent reading, combined with their daily life in school, our students have established a knowledge system based on the English language in order to embrace the logical thinking in English and achieve the ability to learn a language!
